Helene Fischer sings in Simmersfeld. No joke! On an even free area of the new BNS production plant, 5,500 employees and friends of the Boysen Group experienced the megastar practically in a close-up atmosphere.
It sounds almost unbelievable what Boysen CEO Rolf Geisel made possible on the occasion of the inauguration of his new factory in early October 2018 in Simmersfeld. And as if over 90 minutes with the “Queen of German pop-music” would not be enough of a bang, the CEO has also brought the pop band PUR with Hartmut Engler and the trio Klubbb3 on stage for his employees. The five-hour exclusive concert was moderated by Florian Silbereisen.
The motivation behind this musical fireworks is simple: "Festivals of this kind are an integral part of our employee retention strategy. Unlike other big companies, Boysen does not have mass interchangeable incentives or sinfully expensive management meetings where all of our top people fly over half the globe for three days. Here we save in a Swabian way to create unique experiences for our employees." The CEO also refers to former employee and family celebrations, where amongst others “Die Prinzen”, Formula 1 driver Nick Heidfeld and folk music star Beatrice Egli stood on the Boysen stage.
The strategy is obvious: "The concert program in Simmersfeld has even exceeded all previous events. Everyone who has experienced this evening will never forget that. I am happy that I’ve been there," says a long-time employee.
